Atlanta Athletic Club
The Atlanta Athletic Club (AAC) is a world-renowned golf club, situated in Johns Creek, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. It features two 18-hole golf courses, a fitness center, swimming pools, tennis courts, and catering facilities.
- Founded in 1898, AAC was initially a social club. In 1904, the golf course was established. It moved to its current Johns Creek location in 1967. AAC is member-owned.
- AAC consists of two 18-hole courses. The Highland Course measures 7,613 yards from the longest tees and the par is 71, while the Riverside Course is 7,428 yards long with a par of 72.
- Both golf courses are balanced with a mix of long and short holes, water bodies, and undulating greens. There's a fair amount of bunkering, tree coverage, and lake views.
- Aside from golf, AAC offers tennis courts, swimming pools, squash courts, and a fitness center. It also provides dining and event facilities.
- The par-3 15th hole on the Highland Course, with its island green, is considered AAC's signature hole.
- Atlanta's climate is favorable for golf almost year-round, apart from the occasional cold snaps in winter and hot periods in summer.
- From downtown Atlanta, take I-85 N to GA-141 N in Gwinnett County. Follow GA-141 and continue onto Medlock Bridge Road. Turn right onto AAC Drive to reach the club.
- Nearby hotel accommodations include Hyatt Regency and Residence Inn. Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is an hour's drive away.
